Planting season is nearly upon us in Southwest Iowa.  All preparations have been made on our custom farm and crop share accounts for the 2015 growing season.  Corn and soybean seed will be delivered to our operators over the next week or so and planting conditions are nearly ideal.  Recent rains is Southwest Iowa have provided excellent top soil moisture and the soil moisture profile is in great shape.  Typical planting date for corn in Southwest Iowa range from April 12 to May 10 and typical planting dates for soybeans range from May 5 to June 1.  We are looking forward to a great growing season and seeds should be in the ground within the next 30 days.
