Spring Controlled Burns

We completed 2 controlled burns today on the G. William Coulthard Wetland Mitigation Bank in Harrison County, Iowa and the Owego Wetland Mitigation Bank in Woodbury County, Iowa.  Conditions were great and the burns should greatly improve the wetland habitat and control volunteer trees.  While we were out we noticed a lot of planters hitting… Read more »

Iowa Farmland Values

Yesterday, March 31, 2015, Realtors Land Institute (RLI) released their land value survey for March 2015.  In the past 6 month period from September 2014 to March 2015 Iowa Farm Land Values in all nine (9) reporting districts showed decreases in value.  The districts ranged from -4.6% in Southwest Iowa to -11.0% in Northeast Iowa. … Read more »
